Maledictis Returns with New Album Echoes of Conscience and Listening Party

Milwaukee’s chamber rock project Maledictis, led by composer John Marszalkowski, returns with its new album Echoes of Conscience, out November 7th, 2025.
To celebrate, a listening party will be held on November 5th, 2025 at 7PM.

Maledictis blends strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion, piano, choir, and organ with alternative rock to create a cinematic “chamber rock” sound. The new album builds on this style with sweeping dynamics and slow-building textures that bridge symphonic rock and chamber pop.

“I wanted to make an album that highlighted the talents of some of my friends while sharing a first-person perspective of the voices that have been echoing in my head these past few years,” Marszalkowski says. “I set unique limitations by recording only acoustic and analog electric instruments to keep the sound honest. The album’s large dynamics and deliberate pacing give both the music and the listener room to breathe.”

Echoes of Conscience was recorded entirely by Milwaukee-area musicians in local spaces.
